Final day of Seeing in the Dark exhibition! More than 600 visitors toured
the disused civic building in the centre of Rye to encounter responses of 12
artists – film, painting, drawing, installation and projection. Torch light tours,
curatorial discussion, artists talks, film screening in an air aid shelter and
Light Cafe delights made it a much frequented show. It has been a great project
following on from Matt Roberts Arts ALAS residency, collaborating with new
artists and negotiating around this new venue. Initiated by Paula MacArthur,
much effort went into making it happen within a short time. Thanks everyone!
